Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Please note: this policy is provided as general information and is not legal advice. We recommend having it reviewed by a qualified professional for your circumstances.

SG Aircon (ABN 80 686 461 825) (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We operate from 33 Vanderbilt Ave, Truganina VIC 3029, and serve Melbourne and Victoria.

What personal information we collect

• Details you give us when you request a quote or check rebate eligibility, or when you call, text or email us, such as your name, email address, phone number, suburb, property details and the message you send.
• Website usage information collected automatically through analytics, such as pages visited, referring source, approximate location, device and browser type. We use a privacy-focused analytics tool (DataFast) for this.
• Information from third parties where you interact with us via our Google Business Profile or social media (Facebook, Instagram).

How we collect it

We collect most information directly from you when you submit a form, call, text or email us. Some information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies used by our website and analytics tool.

Why we collect and use it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote or confirm your rebate eligibility.
• To arrange and carry out air conditioning, heating, hot water, solar and related upgrades, including coordinating government rebates with accredited providers.
• To communicate with you about your job, booking or request.
• To improve our website and services.
• For marketing, only where you would reasonably expect it or you have consented. You can opt out at any time.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar identifiers to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Our analytics provider (DataFast) is designed to be privacy-friendly. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the site works.

Customer review requests

With your agreement, we may send a review invitation after a completed job. We record your name, chosen contact details, service, completion date, the staff member making the request and its sending status. We use these records to manage follow-ups and avoid duplicate messages. Our private workspace uses Netlify and Supabase. Email and text providers process the contact details and message when their sending channel is enabled.

Each review invitation includes a preference link to stop future review requests to that contact. You can also contact us directly. We retain an opt-out record so we can respect your choice. The staff workspace and message-preference page do not load website analytics. Staff sign-in uses a secure session cookie.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

• Accredited rebate providers and installation/trade partners where needed to deliver your upgrade and apply your rebate.
• Service providers that help us operate, including our web form processor (Web3Forms), hosting provider and analytics provider.
• Government or regulatory bodies where required by law or to process a government rebate.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (for example, form processing and analytics) may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

Storing and securing your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

Direct marketing and opt-out

If we send you marketing communications, each will include a way to opt out. You can also contact us at any time to stop receiving them.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Third-party links

Our website may link to other sites (for example, government rebate programs). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the “last updated” date above.
